Message | For what reason must we force our population to serve in the military? We already require national service, but allow a civil option for those opposed to the military. Pacifism is a right of the people. Backing up the police with the military is a violation of the separation of powers. Who do you think people will obey: the guy in a nice pressed uniform with a pistol, or the guy in camouflage with a high powered automatic rifle? Disband the police, if that is your wish. But combining the military with them at all times does nothing but subordinate the police. |
