Bill: Aesthetic bill 2511 "Recognizing the Special Nature of Belief"

Details

Submitted by[?]: "Le Chaim" - Aesthetic Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: June 2513

Description[?]:

"What those fanatics who try to abolish the freedom of belief forget is the special nature of belief. Belief, and agnosticism and atheism are also forms of belief insofar as they are chosen opinion systems concerning the world and the very man's role in it, so, belief comes before all other categorizations. Belief determines all the other decisions and actions. The decision for a belief determines how one appraises science, education, love, strokes of fate or whatever we find in daily life. The belief is the pair of glasses which allows us to see and to decide. [...] This has to be recognized to guarantee the freedom of decision for a certain belief. Freedom of belief is one of the most fundamental pre-conditions for a free state of free citizens. Please don't undercut it..."

Adam Horvitz, party leader

Random fact: Players consent to the reasonable and predictable consequences of the role-play they consent to. For example, players who role-play their characters as committing criminal offences should expect those characters to experience the predictable judicial consequences of that.

Random quote: "For every action there is an equal and opposite government program." - Bob Wells
