Bill: Sovereignty Oath Reaffirmation

Details

Submitted by[?]: Ma'avak

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 2576

Description[?]:

With the rise in new parties within Beiteynu as well as the recent attempt to split the Sixth Jewish Homeland into two we once again propose the ratification of the Beiteynuese Sovereignty Oath;

Recognising that Beiteynu as a state and as a Jewish Homeland has over history found itself the victim of numerous attempts to eradicate it as a nation and that in the present day this threats are just as real as they were 1000 years ago and additionally recognising that for Beiteynu to continue to function and prosper these threats must be attacked at the roots and removed from the political sphere we propose the following;

I: It shall be passed into law that any political party wishing to register within Beiteynu must officially take an oath of support for Beiteynuese sovereignty over the five Mehozot of Endild, Fruskila, Padrilka, Quo'gün and Tadraki.
II: Additionally any individual wishing to stand as a delegate to the Knesset must take the same oath.

Therefore upon the passage of this bill any such parties or individuals that do not agree to the above will be stripped of their status as a party or a delegate and replaced immediately.

As this is a constitutional ammendment it will require a 2/3rds vote to pass into law.

***TEXT OF THE OATH***
"I, [PARTY LEADER] and the rest of [PARTY NAME], as citizens and loyal servants to the Motherland of Beiteynu do hereby state our overriding belief in and support of Beiteynuese sovereignty over the five Mehozot of Endild, Fruskila, Padrilka, Quo'gün and Tadraki. We do hereby reject any claims by any other nation or power that in anyway contradicts this inaliable right to sovereignty and self-determination; Kahina shall not fall again!"

    Random fact: When you join the game, you will find yourself with only zero seats. That's because your party's representatives haven't been elected yet. You need to establish your party's position on issues by proposing several bills that your party wants passed and sending them to vote. This raises your visibility and if you do it enough, you will win seats at the next election.
