Bill: Cabinet De-Monopolization Proposal

Details

Submitted by[?]: National Liberal League

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill presents the formation of a cabinet. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. Traditionally, parties in the proposal vote yes, others (the opposition) vote no. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in and all parties in the proposal have voted yes, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: April 2521

Description[?]:

For decades upon decades, the LVB as well as the VNU have controlled the cabinet, even if the will of the people is against them, as the parties with seats that I have proposed would be unbeatable if they all vote in favor.

It's time for change, and Valruzia needs it.

MessageThat's a new one: to be the largest voted party is the same as to be hated by the population.

MessageThat's not even remotely what I said, how do you even get this comment from what I said?

The seats the parties I proposed as being in the cabinet would comprise a MAJORITY of the votes. A "largest party" is not a MAJORITY.

However, *we* are in fact the majority - we are the peoples' will.

MessageIn the contrary we are the relative majority... In any democracy the most voted party is considere the Relative Majority if it haven't got 50% and 1 vote (in this case it has the Absolute majority). So with your proposal you are violating liberty of vote and what is a Democracy. You disrespect the process of votation that our country have since the fall of Monarchy.

Like you, I can also have an absolute majority inviting other parties and I can also say that it is not the will of the people that your party have the cabinet. And I don't need to have all the party in the cabinet like your proposal... But what is the point of all this? None...

MessageThere is no "relative majority." You either are the majority or you are not, and you are not in any literal nor figurative sense.

And you are wrong, even if you fall just one, or be it, two or more or less votes short of majority, a majority does not support your views fully at all, judging by election results.

I disrespedct nothing. What I am proposing IS indeed the the process of voting, as what voting as shown is my proposal supports the *majority*'s views.

My party supports every party having both a chance and even moreso, an earned chance opportunity. But what the LVB has only occasionally been the peoples' will.
