Bill: Act for the Outlawing of 'Hate Speech' in the Media

Details

Submitted by[?]: New-Revolutionary Communist Party (NRCP)

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: July 2530

Description[?]:

In a free Republic, it is vital that the freedoms of all peoples, regardless of race religion or sexuality are truly free, where their freedoms are not infringed by others. To this end, theft murder and assault are all considered crimes. Even discrimination and segregation are outlawed for both public and private amenities. It is logical, therefore, that hate speech against any group be outlawed, specifically in the media where hate messages can be most damaging to a great number of people.
Thus, we move that hate speech be outlawed in the public media, in addition to the legislation against falsehoods in broadcasting what already exist.
