Bill: Recreation Drug Bill

Details

Submitted by[?]: National Conservative Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: September 2108

Description[?]:

The NCP recognises that some of our citizens wish to use recreational drugs. However, we also recognise that other citizens do not wish to have such drugs corrupting their society. Therefore we wish to delegate this power to the local government so each province may decide the question as their citizens see fit.

MessageFirst, there's a pretty strong consensus here for no more or less than the current drug regulation.

Second, this would be ineffective if implemented, as people would go to where the drug they desired was legal. This was the same reason we took firework controls out of the hands of local governments.

MessageThis would cause too much of a problem of drugs of dubious legality being passed over the unregulated borders of the provinces.
