Message | The FFP will not stand to see Ikradon transformed into a police state living in a constant state of martial law. We will not support this proposal. |
Date | 05:18:50, September 09, 2005 CET | From | Populist Liberal Party | To | Debating the Police Force Reform Bill |
Message | We feel bad about piling on like this on so many measures, but we do again agree with the FFP. Under ordinary circumstances, the military should not be patrolling the streets of Ikradon. And next to the UPI, we are probably the most pro-police and pro-military of the six established parties. |
Date | 07:40:19, September 09, 2005 CET | From | Underappreciated Party of Ikradon | To | Debating the Police Force Reform Bill |
Message | The UPI is divided on this issue. While many of us believe that a strong military is important, and that our citizens deserve the best protection possible in terms of a police force. We also believe that outside of emergencies this measure is rather unimportant. We will most likely vote no unless anyone can present clear examples where this would be useful. ---Bob Shields, Defence Minister of Ikradon, member of the UPI |
Date | 12:45:19, September 09, 2005 CET | From | Neoretropostmodernist Party | To | Debating the Police Force Reform Bill |
Message | This bill would be a burden on our military. The police are there to take care of civilian matters. This will just encourage police to pass on responsibility to the military who should be out protecting our borders not directing traffic. |
