Description[?]:
This debate is touchy subject and my proposal can be conrtroversial but as my party doesn't really take a stance on this subject, I'm willing to change. The fact is that the agriculture in some regions of Rildanor is adequate to poor, for sources and basic products our industry most of the time needs to import goods from foreign countries. The cause of this could be the use of 'crop protective products' also called 'pesticides'. In the current situation farmers now have to use alternative means (water with salt for example) which doesn't always has the wanted results. I know pesticides are damaging products for the environment and also for the consuments but until we don't have decent alternatives for crop protection, we may want to consider regulating chemical products. Of course, heavily regulated! We propose to list the chemicals that are used by farmers and pass that information to the consument by listing it on the product packing. So the consument exactly knows with what the products are sprayed with. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change Government policy concerning the use of pesticides.
Old value:: Chemical pesticides, herbicides and fungicides are banned.

Message | Hmm I think just leaving it banned is fine. There is hardly a world food shortage. |

Message | As I said...however there is no food shortage and Rildanorians sure won't starve but an agriculture establishment with low production capacities is unable to provide enough which means most of the products have to be imported. Logical consequence > higher prices! |
