Message | The LRU has no right to make a mess of the union of the Church and the Federation. This act was put in place to protect nationals against out of violent fanactics. Order has since been restored but we will not let the days of old return. This act is an attack at the very core of modern Vanuku lifestyle. we would wish the LRU to kindly withdraw this bill. |

Message | A State sponsored religion is a danger and threat to the independence and integrity of our democracy. If we are to preserve the ideals of our nation and maintain the freedom and liberty of our citizens then the State must not be allowed to be corrupted by the influence of the Church. Religious worship is a private matter and all religions should be equally respected by the State. |

Message | The Fact stated by the LRU our incorrect. for starters they have no idea of the Church's historical and Natural Links with the Government. second they assume the Church is against the Ideals of the Nation, the Church is the ideals of the Nation. Natural, progressive, and peaceful. |
Date | 14:24:11, April 11, 2008 CET | From | Vanuku Sinatranoan Party | To | Debating the Secular Vanuku Act |
Message | The problem only arises when the state religion persecutes other religions because it is the "official" belief system. Has there been any evidence of this taking place in Vanuku? Do we believe our nation's populace are so intolerant? The Vanuku Sinatranoan Party will not support this Bill only because there has not been sufficient constructive debate on this issue before it was put to the floor, and we seriously doubt in the time left that anything else of use will be thrashed out. We would be interested in seeing this reproposed and debated properly and logically, without some of the hysteria that seems to be creeping in. It is the right and duty of nations to constantly reconsider previous laws, and their merits in a modern context. Laws created in response to a neccessity 100 years ago does not mean it is still valid. By the same token, there is no need to go changing laws that appear to be working quite well. Thank you. |
