Bill: Homosexuality on the Military Reform Act of 2560

Details

Submitted by[?]: The Liberal Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: June 2561

Description[?]:

I do not like the wording of this proposal. The word "tolerated" should be changed to "encouraged". Homosexuality will still be allowed but the "don't ask, don't tell" policy will be implemented.

MessageIf you read the description of this bill, I say that tolerated is not a good word for it, encouraged may be a better choice. My goal was to implement the "don't ask, don't tell" policy.

MessageIn reality, homosexuals may be discriminated by others in the military. The "don't ask, don't tell" policy prevents this from happening because soldiers are not allowed to ask other soldiers whether or not they are homosexuals, they won't feel the pressure of isclosing their sexual preference.

Messagethat's such horribly twisted logic. this follows a liberal pattern of rolling back laws banning discrimination while claiming to champion equality. I'm glad to see this bill defeated

MessageYou should be better informed. The "don't ask, don't tell" policy is a conservative idea, created by conservatives.
