Bill: North Pole Expidition
Details
Submitted by[?]: Am Echad, Pays Libre
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: June 2568
Description[?]:
With the News Evolving around the South Pole, I see that an Expedition should be made to the North Pole to exchange information with Sekowo in order to learn more and evolve. "Tikkun olam" (bettering the world) is a value that all Jews hold dear to themselves. With Science we can do it. This will need the approval of the Knesset and the Minister of Science and Technology. |

Message | "Jack Peters, the Minister of Environment and Tourism, says yes. That is enough to authorize the expedition using his ministry should the Science and Technology Minister disagree. Note that there will be less funds available should you choose to fund the expedition with the Ministry of Environment and Tourism. However, if you allow us to capitalize and profit from it, the GXH-5328, better funded, better equipped, and more competent, would be able and willing to launch the North Pole expedition under the conditions that the government is (a) willing to authorize the GXH-5328 to establish a colony in the North Pole under the name of the sovereignty of the Homeland, (b) that this colony under Beiteynu sovereignty shall have either GXH, 5328, or both in the formal name of the colony, and (c) allow this colony to operate under laissez-faire market laws with absolutely no government intervention whatsoever, including taxes. To compensate for the market de-regulation and absence of taxes, the GXH-5328 will report all revenue and expenses to the government of the SJHB, and twenty percent of all profits will be placed directly into the private schools operated by the GXH-5328 entirely for the purpose of making these superior schools more affordable for the lower class individuals that would wish to attend them. The GXH-5328 will also not resist any periodical investigations, and will not initiate any aggressive force or undertake unfair actions of any kind that would allow the GXH-5328 to maintain any monopoly over anything within the North Pole colony. Nor will it falsify any reports to the government. Private investigators, informants, and the like may be hired by the government to confirm our honesty. The GXH-5328 has much more capital to invest in such an expedition, so its success is virtually guaranteed; GXH-5328 is one of a few corporations on Terra that can claim annual operating profits, before investment and expansion, in the trillions. Even our government is incapable of making such a claim (remember that this unprecedented growth and size is largely a cause of the 15 trillion BEI bond the government bought from the GXH-5328). Were the government to invest in the expedition, its success is not guaranteed, it is likely to be less efficient monetarily, and the service quality is likely to be third-rate. But if your absolute intention is still to have the government handle the expedition (*sighs*), then we still respect your wishes as we recognize the expedition to the North Pole as a necessity." -Raamiah Galgenstrick, Chairman of the GJA Foreign Minister of the SJHB |

Message | "If it were a democratic system, they would obviously already be able to run under such ideas. What I am referring to is that the constitution of this government be written up in a minarchist fashion with little intervention in the economy." -Raamiah Galgenstrick, Chairman of the GJA Foreign Minister of the SJHB |

Message | That can be solved in a referendum of all participating parties. That will be held after this passes and is sent to vote. |
