Message"Must be between x and 750." Faggot. By my calculations, there should be approximately 4,332 seats; 1 seat for every 50,000 people. Think about it: as it is, every seat represents more than 300,000 people. THREE HUNDRED THOUSAND. Let's examine the concept of the "elected representative"- The people within a specific region elect one of thier own to represent them in the political system, and give voice to thier opinions and concerns in Parliament-sorry, the Majilis Al-Sha’ab. (I'm a year 12 National Politics student, fyi, this is where all this is coming from. Australian politics, but it can all be translated to this system too.) So how the hell is one guy gonna be able to voice the opinions of 300,000 people without having to contradict himself at some stage? I know that 715 to 750 seats is almost a change not worth having, but its more making a point than anything else.

Random fact: By default the head of government is the ultimate authority within a national government. In general terms, heads of government are expected to consult with cabinet colleagues (including those from other parties) before making significant decisions but they remain responsible for government action.

Random quote: "Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world, and the soul of soulless conditions. It is the opium of the people." - Karl Marx
