Bill: Income tax proposal of November 2113

Details

Submitted by[?]: Mouvement des Conservateurs

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill proposes to change income taxes. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 2115

Description[?]:

The Liberal Democrats propose to adjust the government's income tax policy to better address the economic situation of the Kingdom of Rildanor.

As we have a major surplus, it would be good to rearrange the taxation system.

As this element is new and still under development, I decided not to change the brackets but ony the tax percentage. It drops 1 to 3% at the lowest numbers and 0 to 1% at the highest, which simply means: higher incomes pay more tax! And as you may have noticed, the minimum income will not be taxated anymore.

My party isn't a supporter of taxation on persons monthly income so this will not be the last taxation change, I prefer doing this on a long basis so that the economy can adapt.

Notice that this is still a proposal, the new income tax system has to be ratified by the a National Forum majority approval.

As this is not a regular bill proposal type, I was hoping on a constructive debate with the members of the National Forum so that we can reach a consensus by the end of 2116.

MessageColleagues,

The Justice Party is in support of this bill for the sake of exacting higher amounts of revenue here in the Kingdom of Rildanor, for the better use of the people, and as these will be temporary, our support stays.

Messageooc: You and your round numbers!! ;-)

ic: Percentages that end on 0 or 5 don't result into round bracket values so I don't really see the benefit in that, especially not when the tax percentage still needs to be changed after this new system is fully adapted and gets a good response from the index, budget, etc.

regards.

MessageIt would like to bring the brackets closer to eachother to because:

example

monthly gross income of 1500 RCR x 9% = 135 RCR >>> 1365 RCR nett income
monthly gross income of 1548 RCR x 14% = 217 RCR >>> 1331 RCR nett income

earning only 48 RCR less will result into a higher nett income, which is kinda unlogical to me
what are your opinions?

MessageI would say we should keep what we've got. This will be temporary though?

As a side note, I understand the Justice Party has no votes right now because we have no seats in the Forum as of *yet*, but either way, we would like to lobby and give our input on the issues concerning the Kingdom.

MessageIn a debate, the amount of seats a party has, doesn't matter.
I'm very much interested in every party's input, when it is wel argumentated of course.

I feel that each party had made up it's mind about this, and a vote is definitely called for.
