Bill: Elimination of the Draft
Details
Submitted by[?]: Jewish Capitalist Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: October 2581
Description[?]:
A professional, volunteer army is always better than a drafted army. Drafting citizens in a time of war, with a nation the size of hours, merely leads to wasted deaths. Drafts have no place in a military. Mandatory military service also has no place in a nation the size of ours. Instead, our nation should support a full time, professional, and completely voluntary military, that is the highest honour to join. |

Old value:: All adults upon completion of schooling can be required in times of war to serve a term in the military.

Message | Should a draft be necessary, it would be too late for our nation, anyway. Draftees are no where near as capable of a soldier as a trained volunteer. Wanting a draft is like saying we want our nation's military to be easily overrun. |

Message | We are disappointed that so many members of government have so little respect for our citizens. |
