Presently, our nation's defence industries are entirely owned by private companies. We feel the state should own at least some of the more important production companies. We suggest all chemical, biological and nuclear weapons manufacturing facilities be owned by the state. |

Message | Doesn't the government have better things to do than dabble in making planes and tanks? The existing private companies have expertise in this field, there is no need to reinvent the wheel. |

Message | We did not suggest the government construct planes and tanks. The bill clearly states chemical, biological and nuclear weapons. We feel these weapons are better handled by the government. It can provide the security required for such weapons, and can ensure they do not fall into the wrong hands. We agree that there is no need to reinvent the wheel, though. The existing employees of the private WMD manufacturers could be brought over to the new state-run facilities. |
