Description[?]:
Fellow members of the National Forum, Last week our party's CI send a delegate to the main building of our national postal service, Rildanor Postal S, in Tirali. To witness the upcoming closing of the financial year - the news was not positive at all, as expected. Rildanor Postal S made a loss of 9,8 million RCR, not as much as expected but much enough for serious consideration in name of the future of this state company. After almost 50 years in business, providing the Rildanor people with a decent postal service this company never succeeded in making profit and now in total, it has build up a debt of 322 million RCR. Thanks to government financial implent and juridical pressure, the company was able to avoid any cases of bankruptcy. The causes of the company's financial state are obvious, no strong delegations, no ambitious chairman, no new investments, after all it is government company and there hasn't been any competition from the start. The company has become a burden for the government and our party thinks actions have to be taken. Proposal: Denationalize the postal service, the government will sell the company's property to foreign private investors or postal service companies. We will also free the market which makes competition possible - which is always in the advantage of the consument - however slight regulations maybe required such as, only 2 or 3 postal companies are allowed to establish in our nation. We will execute a screening process for foreign offers, the best offers win. The question on how much the company's property has to be estimated remains open and is a case for the Minister of Economic and Internal Affairs, a statement from the two ministers will follow later on. If proposal 1 is voted in favour, the Rildanor government will make an international announcement to attract foreign postal companies. Their is however a back edge, the government has to take over the 322 million RCR debt. The non-liberal trade unions will protest this of course, therefore will set up a 'worker's plan' to keep the company's employee's in the postal sector, encourage new postal companies to recruit former R Postal S employee's.
