Bill: Prostitution Act

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

This job shouldn't be recognized as a job by the government. We don't want Rutania's daughters to grow up having aspirations of being a sleazy prostitute. Prostitution is allowed though. |

Message | What aspirations? The Government needs to ensure it has protections for all employees and under the current scheme we now can monitor and educate sex workers about their health and how to prevent disease. If the government does not recognise the profession, it loses revenue from taxation and also it loses the ability to monitor and curb any spread of STD's or STI's. Furthermore, it is not the government's place to decide whether or not a child's aspiration is to be what it is - we wish to place that responsibility with the parents. |

Message | You really think Prostitution is a good job? Your life is in the line, sexual transmitted dieases - yes you've already said but who has time to put a condom on? Life of a Prostitute is not about having safe sex or that "first time", its about earning money and degrading yourself, and how can you say "I've slept with 30 men, I'm good at my job". I think the only reason why the LCP is against this bill is that maybe the President invites prostitutes to his mansion? Can the president address the Congress? |

Message | no, it is not good, but if we legalize it but stop it being in our policy it will be discouraged. |
