Bill: Defence Reform Bill

Details

Submitted by[?]: Kirlawan National Party (Leftists)

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: December 2590

Description[?]:

We at the DSP believe in a cautious government, ready to protect its people from imperialism and threats to their lives whenever possible. We believe it is the government's duty to the people to provide shelters across the nation, to protect our people should they be attacked. We here at the DSP also believe in protecting women. We all know, that when women become POWs, terrible things can happen to them. We must not put them into situations where they could be subject to sexual abuse. Also, the military is not a dating service, and women and men serving together in such close and dangerous circumstances can lead to innapropriate relationships, distracting our men and women from their duties. If men and women serve in segregated units, they will be able to focus on their jobs, and not on dating. And women will be protected from sexual harm. So, let us vote yes on this bill, yes to a responsible government, which protects all of its citizens, and no to a military dating service.

MessageWe oppose. Segregating women is silly, and Article 2 is not the optimum choice.
