Bill: Name changes for the government institutions
Details
Submitted by[?]: Konservativa Respublikano Parti
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: March 2594
Description[?]:
Some of the old names are real throwbacks, designed to appease political movements that no longer exist. So, to modernise the names I've brought forward this bill. Also included is a minor change to the national anthem that has been bugging the hell out of me since I suggested the original one. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change The lyrics of the national anthem.
Old value:: The Soldier's Song Soldiers are we, whose lives are pledged to Zardugal Some have come from a land beyond the wave, Some to be free, no more our ancient sireland Shall shelter the despot or the slave; tonight we man the Bearna Baoghal In Zardugal's cause. come woe or weal; 'Mid cannon's roar and rifle's peal We'll chant a soldier's song. We'll sing a song, a soldier's song With cheering, rousing chorus As round our blazing fires we thong, The starry heavens o'er us; Impatient for the coming fight, And as we wait the mornings light here in the silence of the night We'll sing a soldier's song Chorus In valley green or towering crag Our fathers fought before us, And conquered 'neath the same old flag That's floating o'er us, We're children of a fighting race That never yet has known disgrace, And as we march the foe to face, We'll sing a soldier's song
Current:
Luthorian (English): Into the world came a new feeling, through the world goes a powerful call; by means of wings of a gentle wind now let it fly from place to place. Not to a bloodthirsty sword does it draw the human family: to the eternally fighting world it promises sacred harmony. Under the sacred sign of the hope the peaceful fighters gather, and this affair quickly grows by the labours of those who hope. Walls of millennia stand firmly between the divided people; but the stubborn barriers will jump apart, knocked apart by the sacred love. |

Random fact: Cultural Protocol bills must provide a real-life equivalent or short description for the ethnic groups, languages and religions contained in them, such that it would be easy for an unfamiliar player to understand (e.g. "Dundorfian = German"). Where appropriate, they should also provide guidance to players on where to find help with translations and character names. This might include, for example, links to Google Translate, Behind the Name's Random Name Generator and Fantasy Name Generators. |
