Message | We don't support, we support local governments tailoring curriculums to suit local and international needs rather than imposing standardised and rigid education at the national level. |
Date | 13:24:02, June 30, 2008 CET | From | Labour Party | To | Debating the National High Education System Act |
Message | We support this bill, and see it as necessary to ensure a universal education system across the country - not one which may not even exist because of the whims of local government. We have the duty to ensure the education of every citizen, and that means universality which the current law does not provide for, but the proposed one does. |

Message | We don't see it as a mean of imposing "standardised and rigid" education at national level. - There is something what is called university autonomy. So, every university and high educational institution can tailor curriculum by itself, we just want to establish a major national university system, and we do not want to let this issue only to private sector. Universities are generators of development. |
