Message | It is of the utmost importance to modernise our substandard military budget, especially in these times, where communist aggression is as rampant as it is. A strong state is a free state. |
Date | 02:49:45, July 12, 2008 CET | From | Dranland First Party (CC) | To | Debating the Budget proposal of January 2604 |
Message | We support the sentiment of increased spending in defence, but as the result is a large-spending budget, and an overall increase in the size of the federal cash machine, we cannot support this budget. The Reform Party never supports an overall increase in the federal budget, regardless of which department is recieving increased funding and why. As a matter of principal, we believe the federal budget should be diminished and reduced only to its bare essentials - all other departments should be eliminated and their responsibilities left to local governments. We must regrettably vote against our good conservative allies in this particular case. |

Random fact: Party candidates for head of state elections are not visible to the public. This means that you cannot see who will run and who will not, which adds another strategic element to the elections. |
