MessageThe CP finds it ironic that the ECB states the government's role is not to play "Mommy and Daddy" but their policies and votes on every other issue aside from narcotics is big government and a nanny-state.

MessageThe creation of a Welfare state in no way pokes into the peoples lives and tells them what to do. Providing equal footing for every citizen is different then allowing every citizen to live how they wish to live.

The assumption that the average citizen cares more about their own personal accumulation of paper tickets we all pretend to be worth something then they do their own personal liberties and freedoms is why your logic fails.
