Bill: Death Penalty Bill
Details
Submitted by[?]: Kirlawan National Party (Leftists)
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: November 2605
Description[?]:
We here at the DSP believe that some crimes are so heinous, they deserve the ultimate penalty. Our justice system's primary purpose is to provide justice for those who have been wronged. Some people are just so heinous and terrible, their vicitims and the people of Kirlawa need to know they will never every come back again, never ever harm a Kirlawan, nay, harm a human being again! Sometimes, we need that peace of mind. When a man rapes a child, he does not deserve 'rehabiliation' he deserves death! When a man plants poison gas in a stadium, he does not deserve compassion for killing our people, he deserves death! When a man murders multiple people, we need to know, that he will never murder another person again! Some crimes, are so heinous, they must be punished with death. We owe it to our people to protect them from these people. So let us vote no to leniency, and yes to justice! |

Random fact: In order for a Cabinet bill to pass, more than half of the legislature must vote for it and all of the parties included in the proposed Cabinet must support it. If your nation has a Head of State who is also the Head of Government, then the party controlling this character must also vote for the bill, since the Head of Government is also a member of the Cabinet. If any of these requirements are not met, the bill will not pass. |
