Old value:: All adults upon completion of schooling can be required in times of war to serve a term in the military.
Current: All adults upon completion of schooling must serve either a term in the military or a lesser paid term of civilian national service, at their option.
Proposed: There shall be no mandatory military or civilian national service.

Message | We support this completely. Mandatory national service represents one of the worst expressions of big government. |

Message | We had voted yes to the proposal that implented mandatory military service in times of war. This was because we want our country to be a non-interventionist nation, which would mean that if we were at war, it would be a serious war. However, we have reconsidered, and believe that you cannot just handout this power to the government, regardless of exactly how you want the government to use it. |
