Message | Subsidies are extremely important, not only to protect our industry against unfair foreign competition as the PPP have pointed out, but also because farming is immediately dependant on natural and seasonal elements that are out of farmer's control. We support the status quo - farming subsidies should be left to local governments, where they can be more relevant to local farmer's needs. |
Date | 04:11:21, July 16, 2008 CET | From | Progress and Liberty Party | To | Debating the Free Market in Farming Act |
Message | While we vehemently oppose the protectionist tripe espoused by the PPP, we agree with the logic of the Reform Party. The status quo is fine. |
