| Message | ooc: in the UK Thatcher introduced a legal requirement for ballots for strike action to prevent wild cat strikes, ie immediate strikes on an issue by workers with no reference to the union leadership. Ever since the law was introduced it has been used by union leaderships and employers alike as a way undermining worker militancy. |
