Bill: Extradition Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Movement for Democratic Change
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: July 2609
Description[?]:
We in no way believe that people should be extradited to a country that practices cruel and inhumane punishment, however we feel that nations have no right to impose our beliefs when it comes to the death penalty on other nations. We are ardent supporters of the ban on the death penalty in Kirlawa, but if one of our citizens kills someone in a country with the death penalty, and that country wants to seek the death penalty, we should not allow that murderer to use Kirlawa's extradition policy as a shield for his or her crimes. Kirlawa was not meant as a haven for murderers escaping the death penalty, and you should bear that in mind when you vote on this bill. |

Message | We support this, capital punishment is a legitimate form of punishment, and while we may not practice it here, we should not stop other nations with different ideas from doing it. |
