Bill: Medecine is a Right Bill

Details

Submitted by[?]: Kirlawan National Party (Leftists)

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 2609

Description[?]:

We here at the DSP believe that medecine is a right which should be afforded to all Kirlawans. Only the most inhumane man would tell a sick person that since he cannot pay for his medecines, he cannot get them. Everyone, has the right to be treated for their illnesses. It is not a privilege like a TV or a video game, and should not be something people pay for. Medecine should be given free, because it is a right of all Kirlawans to be treated for their ailments. The ability to pay should not matter, only that a human being is sick, and needs help. Whilst parties like the DFM like to think that we as human being only have the right to make money and withhold from our fellow Kirlawans, whilst a DFM supporter would turn away a sick on the basis of whether he could pay or not, a DSP supporter, realizes, that this man is a human being, and he has a right to his medecines. Medecine is a right, so let us vote yes to giving our citizens this basic human right back, and no to greed.

MessageAn expensive and ineffective suggestion. This will stimulate the use of medicine unnecessary. The statistics will show that our people are becoming unhealthier every year.

MessageSo you say, people do not have a right to be treated for their ailments, that getting the cure is a privilege, not a right, and a privilege given to only those who can afford it?

MessageYou missed my point. Like this supply of medicine will create its own demand. People will take medicine while they are healthy. Besides, people can insure themselves, can't they.

MessageOnly those who can afford it can. People can also follow the advice of their doctors.

Random quote: "Ask the experimenters why they experiment on animals, and the answer is: "Because the animals are like us." Ask the experimenters why it is morally okay to experiment on animals, and the answer is: "Because the animals are not like us." Animal experimentation rests on a logical contradiction." - Charles R.
