Bill: Sexual Education Bill
Details
Submitted by[?]: Kirlawan National Party (Leftists)
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: October 2614
Description[?]:
We here at the DSP believe that every child has the right to sexual education, to know what sex is, its dangers, and how he will make his children eventually. We do not believe that any parent has the right to censor the world to their children, or to deny them this knowledge. To allow parents to have their kids opt out of sexual education is the government endorsing the viewpoint that it is parent's rights to actually withold vital information to their children on the basis of their own opinions. This is the last vestige of religious pandering in our education system. Who are we to say that religious parents have any right to deny their children this knowledge? We do not believe it is ok for children to go uneducated just because their parents believe in some books written thousands of years ago. So let us say yes to the right to knowledge, and no to religious pandering in our schools. |
