Bill: Changing the Sport of Kirlawa

Details

Submitted by[?]: Kirlawan National Party (Leftists)

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 2620

Description[?]:

For a while now, archery has been in decline in Kirlawa, losing many fans to the Kirlawan football league. Kirlawa has performed well in recent world cups. Because football, also known as soccer, appears to be overtaking archery as Kirlawa's primary sport, and because it is what we are most known for internationally, we propose changing our national sport to football. This is because football can have much for of an effect on getting our kids and general population fit than archery can, as it involves running and more physical exertion than archery does. Football is also a mass game, in line with leftist ideals. There, the working man and the wealthy man can unite for a common cause. There the people of the world can unite for a common cause, to cheer on their team, and to enjoy the sport. That is why football should become our national sport.

MessageWhat is the need for the "or"? Football = "soccer"

MessageWe support -- but definitely agree with the KDL that the wording with the "or" feels clumsy.

Instead, at this moment,
10 nations have "Football" as their national sport;
4 nations have "Soccer";
Alduria has "Football (Soccer)"; and
Dundorf has "Fußball" ... plus there's a sizeable Dundorfian-speaking minority in Kirlawa.

If the early elections bill passes, this one will get reset to the debate stage; if this happens, could you please take the opportunity and change the proposal to any of these four?

MessageIs this really necessary? Plus, Football (Soccer) is the best option out of what the KPJP listed.
