Message | Articles 1,2,3,4,5 and 7 are going to make sure our Army can guarantee safety to our nation , while being moral pillar of society . It also makes sure our Army does not use biological , chemical and nuclear weapons on civilian areas . Article 6 is here to encourage private enterprises and trade . |

Message | While we _might_ agree to the limited authorization to use MDW on non-civilian areas, and we certainly agree with Article 6 as part of our free-trade ideals, we don't understand, and we won't support, the "official ban" on homosexuality on the military and the relegation of women to non-battle positions. Women have thoroughly shown they are trustworthy in the military, so putting even more handicaps to them is certainly the wrong thing to do. WRT homosexuality, do you _really_ think that a gay jet pilot will be thinking of genitalia instead of his mission? Please... homosexual are not sex-crazed minds (or at least most of them are not, but there also sex-addicted heterosexuals), so we see no reason for the "official ban" with its hypocritical "don't ask, don't tell". |

Message | It says open homosexuality isn't tolerated , don't ask , don't tell . |

Message | And we say such line of thought is highly hypocritical: even though most people on Terra will most likely have no interest on the sexual preferences of a particular soldier, why should he be barred from telling out loud? Besides, the law you propose does not only forbid _discussing_ homosexuality in the military, it also "formally" bans it. |
Date | 16:21:06, August 13, 2008 CET | From | Cildanian Nationalist Party | To | Debating the Army Reform |
Message | And why should homosexuality be discussed . If Terra is valid copy of earth , then most people prefer homosexuals in closet or at least not so exposed in media and I do not see why would Army be exception . |

Message | Like a quoting in this very game says, "a bill of rights that means what the majority wants it to is useless". In other words, most people preferring homosexuals in closet does not qualify as a reason to limit their freedoms, and particularly to ban its openness about it in the military. Besides, if that was the only freedom-curtailing and demeaning proposal of this pack, we could understand it, but what about the women not going into battle? |
Date | 19:24:12, August 13, 2008 CET | From | Cildanian Nationalist Party | To | Debating the Army Reform |
Message | What about it . We believe that women are more usefull in non-battle positions as do many RL Armies . But probably that's least important article in this bill , we highly doubt our battle units will lose too much soldiers or too much women will complain about it . |
Date | 19:46:41, August 19, 2008 CET | From | Cildanian Imperial Party | To | Debating the Army Reform |
Message | We support this bill! |
Date | 23:19:36, August 20, 2008 CET | From | Christian Action | To | Debating the Army Reform |
Message | and though needless to say, we will not. |
Date | 06:19:27, August 21, 2008 CET | From | Cildanian Nationalist Party | To | Debating the Army Reform |
Message | Article 7 (women can only serve in non-battle positions) is removed , and bill is put to vote . |

Random fact: The people in your nation don't like inactive parties. When you often abstain from voting for a bill, they will dislike your party and your visibility to the electorate will decrease significantly. Low visibility will means you are likely to lose seats. So keep in mind: voting Yes or No is always better than Abstaining. |
