Bill: The Secondary, Secondary Striking Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: National Bolshevik Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: November 2626
Description[?]:
Due to people's decision in the '26 election the NBP feels it must fulfill its campaign promises without delay. This act allows for the government to not oppress the rights of organizations to strike when or for what they want. Nonintervention in the economy means allowing worker's unions the same philosophical considerations the free-marketists give to firms. |

Message | Absolutely not. The demands of trade unions are often unrealistic, unreasonable, and completely selfish. The Reform Party can see the merit of defending workers from mistreatment in the work place, but over-powerful unions go too far, and often distort the market in question. If workers are not happy with some aspect of their employment, they can discuss this issue with their employer on an individual basis and reach a comprimise through diplomatic means, rather than staging a disruptive and potentially damaging strike. If discussions yield no solutions to the situation, the worker can resign from their job and find a more suibtable one. |

Message | Again, we must unfortunately agree. Though we awfully hate to empower unions, and believe them to be base evils, we cannot descriminate against them. |
Date | 19:03:54, August 24, 2008 CET | From | Dranii Falangist Party | To | Debating the The Secondary, Secondary Striking Act |
Message | Perhaps the Reform Party can explain how enlightened self-interest, which is the basis of the market, is something which should be denied to our nation's laborers but granted to our nation's corporations. |
