Message | Out of interest, which purpose will these cards serve, if on a voluntary basis? If government or important private services begin requiring them, they will no longer be truely voluntary. The JLSP would wish to avoid a scenario where the public is either required or pressured to obtain identification. Also, the JLSP would like information on how this system will work. If it allows government or private corporations to keep information on citizens on file to verify the cards' authenticity, we believe it may be in breach of our party's opinions on individual privacy. We are not opposing the bill yet as such, but we will require further proposed details before we back a proposal that would increase the bureacratic process. |

Message | (These cards serve the purpose of the FRP whoring itself for public votes :P) |

Message | Identification cards for the purpose of identifying a person as a citizen, or for providing emergency service providers with vital information as to the identification of a injured person, possibly even information on the medical history would be most ideal. However, a card that is only for the use of identifying a persons racial, social or sexual information is a violation of a citizen's right to privacy. |

Message | Identity cards a valuable service, they allow citizens to have a readily available way to identify themselves. The FRP opposes making them mandatory, because that seems very 1984... |

Message | The JLSP will support this bill, but only on the condition they're never to become compulsory for any kind of service, even if the service itself is deemed not a neccesity. (Though that's more an IC reason than a game mechanic one) We're in favour of voluntary cards that'll speed up the dreaded bureacratic process, much like in the scenarios NP mentioned. We will back this bill in its current form. |
