Message | If you follow the logic of legislating moral values in culture as the conservative bloc wants for pornography, marriage, homosexuals, drugs, and gambling but their refusal to apply the same line of thought to racism is something every Dranian citizen should be gravely concerned about. |
Date | 07:47:27, September 06, 2008 CET | From | Dranland First Party (CC) | To | Debating the Freedom Act |
Message | We completely reject the NFP's accusations that we do not apply our regular policies of local self-determination to the issue of racism. This is simply not true - the CPP have previously proposed local authority over the issue of 'busing', or segregation in schools. We applied the exact same logic to the debate between integration and segregation as we did to every other area of policy. (OOC: it should also be noted that the proposal in this legislation does not have the option of being determined by local governments. If such a possibility did exist, we would support it.) |

Random fact: Did you know you can change the official name of your nation? All you need to do is draw up a new name that is in accordance with the Nation Renaming Guide, pass a bill proposing the name change with a two-thirds majority and then post a request to Moderation on the "Renaming Requests" thread. You can change city and region names in this way too. |
