Date | 20:47:30, October 03, 2005 CET | From | Protectorate Party | To | Debating the Adoption Reform Act |
Message | no, a child should not be left in foster care or worse yet an orphanage, because parents are unwilling to be subjected to a battery of tests or the time for an intensive program. |
Date | 21:17:45, October 03, 2005 CET | From | Malivia Democratic Party | To | Debating the Adoption Reform Act |
Message | Agree with SLP on the grounds that adoption laws should be uniform across the country, since quite often parents may adopts children from other provinces. Will not oppose testing of potential parents either. The MDP believes that orphanages are far preferable than abusive or neglective parents, and testing is the only way to weed out unfit potential parents. |
Date | 00:42:09, October 04, 2005 CET | From | LibCom Party | To | Debating the Adoption Reform Act |
Message | Local communities are in a far better position to judge the suitability of prospective parents than central government. |
Date | 01:31:45, October 04, 2005 CET | From | Social and Labour Reform Party | To | Debating the Adoption Reform Act |
Message | So you would rather we continue with the unfair practice of giving people in different provinces different rights? Why would it be ok for a couple to be able to adopt in Itaki, but not be able to adopt next door in Washibar? |
Date | 09:00:11, October 04, 2005 CET | From | Malivia Democratic Party | To | Debating the Adoption Reform Act |
Message | Considering the central government will be hiring local individuals for the local offices, and at the same time using federal resources, we believe the LibCom partys argument carries no weight. |
