Bill: Selucian Faith Renewal Act (RSA)
Details
Submitted by[?]: Imperial Democratic Coalition
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: February 2682
Description[?]:
We, once again, propose to re-establish the ancient traditions of our people as the official religion of the nation. We are not asking to compel the citizenry to join the Faith, nor any state funding: simply recognition of the Selucian Faith as our original and strongest religion. (Further, the state must have some say in the appointment/remuneration of priests & priestesses of the Faith, as the Imperator is the chief priest.) Sol Invictus compels us to continue pressing the Senate for action on this matter. May Fortuna grant us luck! |

Message | OOC - more pragmatically, somehow my party's alignment has gone to secular-leaning. Apparently voting against -one- foreign missionaries bill cancels out -all- the frigging pro-religion bills I've proposed. Sorry folks, but necessary for my party to make sense. |

Message | OOC - not sure who's aware of it, but there's a lot of stuff at http://particracy.wikia.com/wiki/Selucia about Selucian history, culture, etc. Mostly compiled by the old Imperial Party of Selucia's player. Details about the religion, which is pretty much a rip-off of Rome's, is listed there. |
