Message | Mr. Speaker; Cannabis is not a medicine therefore it should not be used as such since we have other forms of pain control. I yield the floor. |

Message | Mr. Speaker; Cannabis is not considered a medication because it is also a narcotic. Many over-the-counter pain medications are also used as narcotics. Cannabis should be looked into as a means of effectively controlling pain. I yeild the floor. |

Message | Mr. Speaker; There are alternatives to cannabis as a medicinal drug. Though all drugs affect pain through the cessation of proper nerve impulses through the synaptic gaps of the nervous system. Though cannabis is a controversial material because of the accessibility to be used as a popular drug. Because it is only meant for the medical system, this only provides a gateway for abuse to lead to recreational use. The floor is yielded. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, As the EVP said medical marijuana is an option amoung other alternitives. So now I ask, what right does the government have to tell those in pain what choices they are limited too. I believe that competent doctors and patients should have this option reserved. I yeild the floor. |
