Bill: Clothing Freedom Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Genuine Progress Alliance
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: November 2687
Description[?]:
This bill aims to free the government from regulating people's clothes based on religious codes. It is not the role of the government to do such actions that are hard to implement in the first place due to the diverse religions of the Alorian people. The current only supports the union of Religion and State. As we have stressed, religion, especially the current state religion, should not intervene too much with state affairs to the point that laws are passed for their own purpose. There's a fine line between where religion can take part in the nation's political and social affairs, and the current law is going beyond that fine line. |

Message | We ask the members of the Parliament: Exactly how will you regulate the clothing standards of the people based on their religion? Do we have to ask them what their religion is? Won't they just lie anyway? Or do you suggest an ID card? But how would that even be possible, when the current law states that we do not register a person's race or religion? This matter is not something government should be involved on. This matter is something that should be managed by the different religious organizations in Aloria. |

Random fact: "OOC", "IC" and "IG" are commonly-used acronyms in Particracy. "OOC" refers to comments, discussions and actions which are out-of-character, meaning they are done player-to-player rather than party-to-party. "IC" refers to in-character interactions (ie. party-to-party). Similarly, "IG" means in-game, although this term may also simply refer to what happens in the actual game interface, as opposed to on the forum or elsewhere. "RP" just means "role-play". |
