Bill: Income tax proposal of September 2690

Details

Submitted by[?]: Alorian Populist Party (DemCoa)

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill proposes to change income taxes. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: May 2691

Description[?]:

The Alorian Populist Party (PrCoa) propose to adjust the government's income tax policy to better address the economic situation of the Democratic Republic of Aloria.

This will end the deficit. Some taxes are raised, though compare this to the current tax code and see that this also cuts taxes, raising one bracket from 10000 to 11000, while meanwhile eliminating the 500 and 1500 bracket. The major alterations are an additional bracket of 1 at 1 percent and one at 4500 (the median income in Aloria) at 25%, the amount of which that raises taxes negated by the fact that the 2500 (now lowered to 2000) has been cut by 5% while again, the 1500 and 500 brackets are eliminated.

I believe that everyone should have to pay some taxes, everyone should have a contribution, no matter how low, to the public sphere. This cuts taxes for more poor and working class people then it raises them on.
