MessageMr. Speaker;

The Nation has to have a way of defending itself. Controversial as they are, these weapons spread the fear of their impact. Having Chem/Bio weapons is a safety precaution that stops other nations with the same weapons from having to deal with them. They also make weaker nations to fearful to attack, whether or not we would actually use them. It is sad to say that in today’s society that fear is the greatest weapon, but it is regardless of how we feel. In the case that we were to go to war with another country that has Chem/Bio weapons the SCSC, assuming that we maintain the defense ministry, would do all that we can to make an agreement with the foreign nation to not use the weapons on each other.

I yield the floor.

MessageMr. Speaker,

We can see where the SCSC is coming from with their idea of psychological warfare, but we dont think that dangerous fear weapons is a good way to spend the nations money. The best way to not get involved in war is to not act like an idiot on the world stage. If we are known as a nation who does not harbour evil weapons, nations around us will be more likely to be friendly. The real key here is not that we want to scare anyone into not attacking us, but rather, we should trade with them and be good neighbors so that they will have no reason to attack us. This way, we stay in peace and they economy will be great.

If we were to get into a war, burning the enemy from the inside out is a dirty tactic. We do not see any glory in that. A real nation (a MAN-nation, if you will) would fight the old fashioned way, with guns, tanks etc. Even if they use NBCs on us, we should not resort to similar ways. It is wrong, to kill a human so cruely, possibly ruining his land and making it inhabitable. It is also wrong to make our citizens pay for this proccess.

The idea that you can target non-civilian areas is one that cannot be assured. If you launch powder or gas into a nation, its gunna spread. It might get into an animal who will then be killed for meat, you get the point.

We have no use for these weapons, we should not have any ambitions that would require their use.

I yield the floor.

    Random fact: In Culturally Protected nations, special care must be taken to ensure realism is maintained when role-playing a government controlled by an ethnic and/or religious minority. If it is to be supposed that this government is supported by a majority of the population, then this should be plausibly and sufficiently role-played. The burden of proof is on the player or players role-playing such a regime to demonstrate that it is being done realistically
