Message | To the NP, we need nukes for defense, since several other nations have nuclear weopons, it is only prudent to have them ourselves. |

Message | Nuclear weapons are far too expensive to maintain, and with article 1 as it is, this bill seems more like an attempt to have nuclear weapons used as a preemptive attack method rather than as a defencive deterrent against other nuclear nations. The JLSP does not support this bill in any form, and does not condone this form of decent into military barbarism. Just because another does something doesn't mean we have to sink as low as they do, and we find such an attitude petty and contrary to what is best for United Jakania. |

Message | The LP shares the LSP's concern. Nuclear weapons do not discriminate between enemy militants and civilians, thus, resulting in an unnecessary loss of human life should they be used. Nuclear warfare is also environmentally detrimental. However, banning all nuclear arms is dangerous. Even international agreements to prohibit use of nuclear arms do not necessarily secure United Jakania against potential nuclear attacks. In such scenarios, there is little accountability as only the government in each country really knows how many weapons the country possesses. Countries could easily feign disarmament, while secretly holding onto any number of nuclear arms. Thus, the ability to develop nuclear weapons and *use* them is inevitably necessary to counterbalance the potential threat from other nations. Furthermore, we'd like to note that any appeals from the LSP on the grounds of excessive government expenditure are blatantly hypocritical following its push to socialize most of United Jakania's industries. |

Message | The Democratic Labour Union concurs with the Jakanian Libertarian Party in that Mutually Assured Deterrent albeit distasteful, regrettably remains necessary. |

Random fact: When you join the game, you will find yourself with only zero seats. That's because your party's representatives haven't been elected yet. You need to establish your party's position on issues by proposing several bills that your party wants passed and sending them to vote. This raises your visibility and if you do it enough, you will win seats at the next election. |
