Debate
These messages have been posted to debate on this bill:

Message | We cannot agree to this - disproportionate union power over businesses allows for exploitation and unreasonable demands, and distorts the economy. We see no need for these excessive proposals - any disputes between workers and their employers can be resolved through individual discussion, and, if they cannot, the most effective option for workers is to resign and find more suibtable employment elsewhere. |
Date | 13:56:42, February 16, 2009 CET | From | Rutanian Restoration Party | To | Debating the Worker's Freedom Bill |
Message | We cannot support this bill because we believe that workers should hold a ballot before striking. The whole point of a union is microdemocracy in action. We do support Article 2. |
Date | 15:31:19, February 16, 2009 CET | From | Rutanian Elitist Party | To | Debating the Worker's Freedom Bill |
Message | The REP would support the Article 1 and 2, because it would increase liberties, but as the representatives of the OP pointed out, the abolition of microdemocratic mechanism within trade unions makes Article 3 unacceptable. |
Date | 17:08:48, February 16, 2009 CET | From | National Equality Party | To | Debating the Worker's Freedom Bill |
Message | We at the NEP will not support this bill. We already fought a bill changing the workers right to strike. And unions should require a majority vote. If only a minority wish to strike and they can because of this bill, the majority are left tempoarily out of work. |
Date | 05:38:09, February 17, 2009 CET | From | National Unity Party | To | Debating the Worker's Freedom Bill |
Message | The NUP will not support this bill for the obvious reason that the people's right to work will not be acknowledged in this bill. |
