Message | The RASU questions the congruence of articles 7 and 8. How can Athlorcaea simultaneously welcome all refugees, regardless of reason, while at the same time imposing strict border control? How does the CNSM intend that Athlorcaea differentiate refugees from non-refugee foreigners? This bill needs to be more fleshed out before we can even consider implementing it. |
Date | 19:50:17, March 01, 2009 CET | From | Modern Revolutionary Socialist Party | To | Debating the National Security Bill |
Message | We find this bill very odd, it is called the national security bill yet contains some elements that have nothing to do with national security. Some of this I strongly support, some I strongly oppose. |
Date | 20:47:03, March 01, 2009 CET | From | Union of Radical Republicans (UM) | To | Debating the National Security Bill |
Message | It's unclear to us why a "national security" bill would reduce the nation's ability to defend itself against attacks by binding our hands on massive retaliation, attempting to put defense decisions in the hands of non-experts, eliminating national service, and weakening the powers of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Adding to this the troublesome articles seven and eight, as the RASU already pointed out, we cannot see how we could be able to support this bill. |
Date | 20:41:10, March 02, 2009 CET | From | Roccato Anarcho-Syndicalist Union | To | Debating the National Security Bill |
Message | Recognizing that this bill is likely to fail, the RASU supports. |
