Bill: Freedom of Choice Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Union for the Rights of Christian Women

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 2126

Description[?]:

If a school wants to adopt a policy that allows school prayers it should be allowed to do so without being forced to be turned into a religious school. Already there are teachers that pray with their students in nonreligious schools. Do not send them to prison like some criminals!

MessageWe just recently passed a bill saying that teacher-lead prayers in schools were forbidden, except in religious schools. We strongly oppose this measure that will cause students to be at the mercy of fanatical teachers' religious convictions.

You seem to mistaken a prayer with a rape or armed assault. This is not the case it only allows for example Christian students to pray with their teacher if they want to.

MessageAnd what happened to the others? They just stay quiet, ashamed, and feeling odd for not being "Christian".

Random fact: Any RP law granting extraordinary "emergency powers" or dictator-like powers to a government must be passed by at least a 2/3rds majority, but (like all RP laws) may always be overturned by a simple majority vote of the legislature.
