Bill: Salary Capping Abolishment Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Traditionalist Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: July 2721

Description[?]:

Salary capping is a ridiculous notion. Why will workers bother doing a good job if there is no discernable reward? We propose to abolish Salary Capping immediately to gain an increasingly motivated work force.

MessageWe fail to see how the abolishment of the salary cap will motivate the workforce, as the majority of ordinary workers is unlikely to ever earn anything close to the salary cap. The lack of salary caps doesn't do anything for lower income groups, but only allows the rich to further enrich themselves.
And even if this goes through, Labour Unions and Employers' organisations will still be able to negotiate salary caps through free collective bargaining, which we will encourage them to do.
