Message | This is hardly a reactionary divorce provision. It ensures that a marriage is a solid bond between two people, and not something that is just a concept. As it stands now, a divorce could be implemented whenever, wherever. Marriage is a pact, and should be treated as such. If they didn't want to get married, then they shouldn't have gotten married in the first place. |

Message | Why should a couple who mutually agree that their marriage turned out to be a mistake be forced to stay together? As things would stand under the provision included in this bill, the only way to get out of a marriage that simply doesn't work is to commit adultery or be violent, or do something similar. A provision like this does not make a marriage a solid bond between two people, but is a rather more likely to make a marriage a living hell. |

Message | A marriage is a legally binding contract as well as a sacred religious bond. If you want to be married you better be sure. If it turns out that both agree that the marriage was a mistake, you should've either thought it through better or not gotten married. It should not be so simply to opt out of a legally binding contract, as it should not be so easy to opt out of a spiritual bond. Marriage is not something to be toyed with, as it is under current legislation. It is the ultimate spiritual bond. |

Message | Sometimes people are absolutely sure about things, and it still turns out they were wrong. We all have to live with our mistakes sometimes, but in this case it should at least be allowed to get out of the situation if both parties to the contract agree that they made a mistake, rather than making each other, and possibly their children, unhappy for the rest of their lives. |
