Message | The NP appreciates the FRP's attempt to compromise with the more pacifist members of our Parliament by altering Article 1. We will fully support this bill. OOC: If you want to debate it AGAIN, I can restate my arguments. Just ask. (: |

Message | The JLSP also appreciates the FRP's attempt to compromise, but will oppose the bill in its current form. The JLSP submitted the laws currently in effect, and indeed the legalisation of research and development was one compromise we proposed, to ensure Jakania should never fall technologically behind. That was our precautionary measure. We will not support the production or storage of arms until there is clear cause to do so. |

Message | Until such time the world has been rid of nuclear weapons or other forms WMD we must regrettably reserve the right to manufacture these weapons ourselves. Disarmament require international co-operation and as such we should focus our energies in this direction to reach a point where it is safe for Jakania to adopt a complete disarmament stance. Nothing would please the DLU more than to reach such a state of affairs, but until such time we must not compromise on the security of our citizens. The DLU thus lends it's support with a heavy heart. |
