Bill: Waste Management Accordance Act of 2726
Details
Submitted by[?]: Union of Radical Republicans (UM)
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: May 2729
Description[?]:
Given the far-spanning changes of the RWEA, new systems of waste disposal must be recognized. It does not make sense for individual companies-DWCs to perform their own waste management and the government to perform waste services for individual citizens. A quasi-governmental DWC should be set up to take care of both services. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change Waste disposal responsibility.
Old value:: Private companies are responsible for disposing of their own waste. The government disposes of residential waste.
Current: It is the responsibility of local governments to decide on waste disposal regulation.
Proposed: Waste disposal is left entirely to the private sector but is regulated.

Date | 02:26:05, March 17, 2009 CET | From | Roccato Anarcho-Syndicalist Union | To | Debating the Waste Management Accordance Act of 2726 |
Message | The RASU fails to understand why a company run by a DWC is any less able or willing to dispose of its waste than a government-operated body would be. |
Date | 20:51:17, March 18, 2009 CET | From | Union of Radical Republicans (UM) | To | Debating the Waste Management Accordance Act of 2726 |
Message | Most waste from economic activity in Athlorcaea is essentially similar to residential waste, and it makes no sense from an efficiency perspective for each DWC to have to dispose of its own waste. |
Date | 21:37:23, March 18, 2009 CET | From | Roccato Anarcho-Syndicalist Union | To | Debating the Waste Management Accordance Act of 2726 |
Message | No, what makes no sense is for the government to be handing residential waste. Waste should be handled locally by those doing the wasting. |
Date | 00:40:00, March 19, 2009 CET | From | Federalist Minarcho-Capitalist Party | To | Debating the Waste Management Accordance Act of 2726 |
Message | The TEP supports the general idea of the bill, yet problems remain in implementation. Local governments could be suited to manage local residential and local commercial waste. TEP is wary of supporting any measure that proposes to allow central government to undertake waste management. |

Message | This is an improvement. When the bill returns to debate, we would advise total deregulation, though we are not optimistic that the URR will be amenable to this suggestion. |
Date | 01:04:13, March 20, 2009 CET | From | Federalist Minarcho-Capitalist Party | To | Debating the Waste Management Accordance Act of 2726 |
Message | The TEP is firmly in support of this bill in its current form. All we could ask for further is greater deregulation to spur fledgling waste-management industries in Athlorcaea. |

Random fact: Players who consent to a particular role-play by acknowledging it in their own role-play cannot then disown it or withdraw their consent from it. For example, if player A role-plays the assassination of player B's character, and player B then acknowledges the assassination in a news post, but then backtracks and insists the assassination did not happen, then he will be required under the rules to accept the validity of the assassination role-play. |
