Message | The SDP sees this proposal as either disingenuous or stupid. 'Critical' and 'minimal' most certainly have meaning and are not mere 'weasel words'. Your proposal would encourage nationwide instability; besides, workers regarded as critical to society are almost invariably public employees, not at the whim of shareholders or DWCs. |
Date | 21:31:36, March 23, 2009 CET | From | House Lusk-Nat'l Syndicalist Party (UM) | To | Debating the Protection of Workers' Rights Act |
Message | Trade and Industry Minister Fuller of the AP is the current decider of what is "minimal." Perhaps this is an enforcement issue, not a law issue. |
Date | 22:47:42, March 23, 2009 CET | From | Federalist Minarcho-Capitalist Party | To | Debating the Protection of Workers' Rights Act |
Message | Minister Fuller is a staunch supporter of workers' rights. The AP reminds the RASU that we would be willing to fully support the provisions of this bill if they were bundled with the Amendment of the Real Worker Empowerment Act of 2722. We have proposed as much in the bill we have currently under debate but the RASU has not responded to our friendly approach. We are, as always, open to negotiation. |
Date | 23:06:24, March 23, 2009 CET | From | Roccato Anarcho-Syndicalist Union | To | Debating the Protection of Workers' Rights Act |
Message | The ARWEA is anathema to the principles of the RASU, and we make no apologies for our unwillingness to compromise in that regard. While we have the utmost respect for Minister Fuller, in the long-term we believe that this bill is more likely to protect the rights of the workers than continuing to leave it up to the Ministry of Trade and Industry. |
Date | 23:10:13, March 23, 2009 CET | From | Federalist Minarcho-Capitalist Party | To | Debating the Protection of Workers' Rights Act |
Message | Until the RASU chooses to operate in a spirit of compromise and prudence with regards to the ARWEA, the AP must oppose this bill out of principle. We are not accustomed to compromising our values for the sake of cooperation without the expectation that said cooperation will take place. |
Date | 01:57:01, March 24, 2009 CET | From | Roccato Anarcho-Syndicalist Union | To | Debating the Protection of Workers' Rights Act |
Message | The RASU suspects that the AP would not compromise on their most strongly-held principles and should not expect us to do the same. |
Date | 03:07:06, March 24, 2009 CET | From | Federalist Minarcho-Capitalist Party | To | Debating the Protection of Workers' Rights Act |
Message | The AP vehemently advocates that parties compromise to reach a goal that may not serve the interests of a particular party or fall in line perfectly with their ideology, but that might err on the side of caution, that might allow the citizens of the FSA to decide a few issues for themselves. We have already said we would be wiling to encourage DWCs with subsidies and tax exemptions. Does the RASU wish to take the choice away from the citizens of the FSA? |
Date | 09:28:14, March 24, 2009 CET | From | Roccato Anarcho-Syndicalist Union | To | Debating the Protection of Workers' Rights Act |
Message | The RASU does not allow the citizens the choice to enslave others, no. |
Date | 10:59:42, March 24, 2009 CET | From | Federalist Minarcho-Capitalist Party | To | Debating the Protection of Workers' Rights Act |
Message | It is apparent to the AP that the RASU will entertain no reasonable discussion on the topic. |
