Bill: Budget proposal of November 2733
Details
Submitted by[?]: Alorian Populist Party (DemCoa)
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill proposes to change the allocation of funds in the budget. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: July 2734
Description[?]:
The Alorian Populist Party (DemCoa) propose to adjust the government's spending budget to better address the economic and social situation of the Democratic Republic of Aloria. Spending Cuts explained: Foreign Affairs spending was always overinflated. Defense is cut, and will be cut more later, to pre-communist uprisig levels, as we no longer will need it. However, it still remains high now because we have a ceasefire, not yet total peace (which we hope and expect the ceasefire to lead to). Infrastructure is cut in half. Pre-Economic crisis levels were around 15 billion, and it was raised so highly for purposes of economic stimulus. That is no longer necessary, so we cut it, though still above pre ciris levels. Health is also decreased because not as much of a social safety net is required. Though its not that big of a cut, since it is such an important ministry. Education is cut, as local governments can take more charge of the issue (as already provided for by Alorian law). Science, Food, and Environement are all leveled at 5 billion. Finally, Industry is a place with a lot of unneeded spending. By simply changing the law from nationalization to subsidization, the cuts are allowed for, and we can save a bundle. Thats why article 2 is in the bill. |

Random quote: "The European Union and environmental advocacy groups use global warming hysteria to advance their own special agendas. The European Union recognizes any significant reduction in CO2 emissions by the United States will significantly reduce its economic output, thereby bringing it closer to the inferior output of European nations. Environmental advocacy groups work to stifle economic and industrial progress wherever they find it to inhibit the successful advancement of peoples in developing nations, inevitably making mankind a second class citizen of planet Earth." - Dr. Jay Lehr |
